Will it still change that my browser keeps saying that the "website is not secure"...? (lack of https, I think)
Or is this completely unrelevant to the server move.

At some point will this become a secure site? Using https instead of just http?

Yep. As mentioned a couple of comments above this one, it's on our to do list. Hopefully should be achieved fairly soon.
