you don't want comfy seats? this is an odd line to have.FrankBooth wrote:I don't mind some slight upscale (Alamo style) to a theater but I think its crossed some threshold.

man alot of good stuff here last few days. couple of things.
flying isn't fun. but honestly. it isn't as hellish as people make it out to be alot of the time. sound proof headphones or ear plugs kinda solve most issues.
kids being bad on flights...yeah...kids will misbehave...its pretty easy to ignore that. i've never been really stressed out by kids crying on flights. kids cry...it happens. im sure the parents feel more embarrassed by it than you feel frustrated by it. it usually passes pretty quick and ear plugs solve it.
don't like dogs on flights...ok...unless they are touching you...they aren't really going to do anything. therapy dogs are a real thing that have absolute benefits to people. but yes alot of people take advantage of the registration thing. i also think that people just dont want to put an animal underneath in luggage which is a very unideal way to transport an animal.
basically if you get stressed out on flights, get ear plugs or sound cancelling head phones, a nintendo switch, some weed gummies (or cbd gummies), you'll eventually get where you need to go.

Going to see Endgame late tomorrow night - “comfy seats” was basically the only criteria I provided to my friend in selecting a showing.35mmpaul wrote:you don't want comfy seats? this is an odd line to have.FrankBooth wrote:I don't mind some slight upscale (Alamo style) to a theater but I think its crossed some threshold.

Yeah, that would suck seeing a movie from those.

I love the heated seat feature at the local AMC

Here's a peeve: people constantly arguing with people about their peeves in this thread. This is not the peeve debate thread. All peeves are welcome. There are no wrong peeves. If you don't agree, move along...
yeah. being comfortable while seeing a movie is a peeve? you've been seeing movies in New York theaters for too long.FrankBooth wrote:This is what I was referring to.35mmpaul wrote:you don't want comfy seats? this is an odd line to have.

Naw man, you clearly aren't thinking meta here. When your peeve is someone else's peeve, this is the perfect place to post.RottenAtom wrote:Here's a peeve: people constantly arguing with people about their peeves in this thread. When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink. - BH
I know this is weird but I’m also not a huge fan of the “big comfy seats”, especially for watching an edge of your seat movie (Star Wars, Marvel, anything horror etc). I feel like when I can sit forward a little bit or am just comfy and upright I am more physically and mentally engaged in the film - kinda like when you’re playing a video game and you sit back and lose all your intensity and focus.35mmpaul wrote:you don't want comfy seats? this is an odd line to have.FrankBooth wrote:I don't mind some slight upscale (Alamo style) to a theater but I think its crossed some threshold.
