Sunday and Monday evening between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. (Pacific time) are statistically the highest periods of activity on eBay and have the highest sell-through rate. Monday during lunch hour is also excellent.
The Ebay Advice Column
Supposedly the best day to end a listing is on a Sunday evening is what I always read online.

sundays are generally the best day.
with all the tricks that eBay plays with their searches these days, it can be a wash though.
i had two items not even show up in searches, until i promoted them.

uhhhh. has ebay considered the upcoming changes to paypal refunds? this is gonna be terrible for sellers. paypal seller fees are now non-refundable during any transaction cancellation/refund.

AMENDMENTS TO THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT USER AGREEMENT
We are updating the PayPal Account User Agreement for U.S. customers. These changes will go into effect on May 7, 2019.
We’re removing the flat rate pricing for sending money to friends and family members who have PayPal accounts in a country other than the United States and introducing a new variable fee of 5% based on the amount you send with a minimum of $0.99 and a maximum of $4.99 per transaction. We’re also removing any variation depending on the recipient’s country.
We are changing the currency conversion spread to 3.25% over a base exchange rate in situations where you are a sender of money in a PayPal transaction.
We’re changing how we treat refunds. If you refund (partially or fully) a transaction to a buyer or a donation to a donor, there are no fees to make the refund, but the fees you originally paid as the seller will not be returned to you.

ebay still refunds their fees (assuming their policy hasn't changed) ... however, it seems as though paypal will keep their 3% transaction fee

Looks like the split is not official until 2020. Maybe direct credit/debit card payments after that?Codeblue wrote:Luls. They separated from paypal a while ago.

Split happened years ago but they had an existing agreement in place. They will still accept paypal after that most likely, but it won't be the preferred or promoted payment method anymore.

The shift will start gradually in North America later this year and eBay expects most marketplace customers around the world to be using the new system in 2021.
PayPal spokeswoman Amanda Miller said the company will "continue to provide a comprehensive payments solution to eBay through July 2020." It will also remain a payment option at checkout for eBay customers until July 2023.
