Definitely miss older Ghost, but their new stuff is arena rock now.

I saw them on the Rats Tour, and they killed it live.

Hadn't been to a metal show in a really long time. Changed that a couple of days ago when I saw Arsis and Septicflesh. Arsis, in my view, is terribly underrated. They're one of the best death metal bands in the last 20 years. It was great to see them live again after more than a decade. I have to give their newest album a few more listens, but the older stuff is just great.

Celebration of Guilt and Diamond for Disease are all-timers imo.

Was just going back through old photos of my ol DM scene (1995-2001). Good times. Can't go back. Just put on Pyrexia's Sermon of Mockery.

yeah my first DM album was that Deicide Album. It was 1992 or 93. First day of 7th Grade. I remember I walked into my first class all nervous, Sporting my megadeth shirt and I saw a girl with black lipstick and a morbid angel shirt ( who I never heard of at the moment) I sat next to her of course and she asked me what other bands I liked and then asked if I ever heard of Deicide. The rest is history. 41 now, we are still friends to this day.

97-99 was especially important to me given thats when I started a band, put out a album, played shows across the country, started a distro, and started doing art for bands.

I've grown up on the greats like Cannibal and Bolt Thrower, through a really close friend who died of cancer, I've only recently gone back and been able to listen to stuff, was also happy to find some new stuff that wasn't awful like it was a couple of years back. Made a playlist in BPM order, was kind of fun and is all over the map "metal" wise.

I'm not a huge metal fan. But I've enjoyed Inter Arma for awhile, and their newest, Sulphur English, is great. I was planning to see them play with Deafheaven this Spring, but it looks like that's not happening.

Just postponed, hopefully. I was looking forward to that show as well.

Don't know how I missed it when it came out but this Rivers of Nihil is great.
