He's making too much money on the video game concept stuff? Is that what you mean?

Garfield money.
And, 5x5 timed editions bringing in the moolah. No need to do a film poster release when that's happening. Plus, maybe he's exhausted his film interest creativity.
Although, I do wish this happened:

I actually really wanted to do this for a Jaws poster but couldn't make it work with the Orca so just abandoned it.

I’m running on a theory that Jim Davis Quantum Leapt into Olly’s body. After Mr Davis performs the necessary deed, slightly altering Ollys path in a more lasagna loving cat kind of way, and leaps to the next body, Olly will be back with clever minimalist take on, I don’t know, Trading Places.
...
...
That's what she said

I think its abundantly clear that he isn't particularly interested in doing so anymore.

Once you join that Garfield cult...
Think the real answer was the switch to video games, think he's even mentioned that going back to the movie poster world full time would feel like a step back for him outside of the occasional itch (which I assume allowed for stuff like Die Hard).
Either that or the sandwich question broke him.

Oscar Mayer Declares Hot Dog a Sandwich, Opens Hotline to Voice Your Disdain
https://www.foodandwine.com/news/oscar- ... ch-hotline
Today — in honor of National Sandwich Day which takes place this Saturday — Oscar Mayer has officially declared a hot dog is a sandwich and is encouraging you to voice your opinions the old-fashioned way: with a phone call. Launching at 9 a.m. this morning and staying open for the next 24 hours is an official Oscar Mayer “Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich?” toll-free hotline: 1-833-SNDWICH. The hot dog brand says the hotline is intended “to give hot dog lovers the chance to change its mind …or lend their support for America’s favorite sandwich.”
Apparently folks are up in arms about it.

So it goes...

I'm only just seeing this.
A hotdog is not a sandwich.
Get that noise out of here.
