Mondo Poster News & Rumors
Huh?EgoDeath wrote:Regardless of the crybabies in line, I will play devil's advocate and say that Edmiston's line policies have never made sense to me. Learned that at SDCC this year, "limit 5 per person per print" is so stupid it feels like Facebook themselves invented the rule.
I paid over 1k to come to this stupid convention and your telling me your con exclusives are going to everyone in the FB group who is playing Poster Buddy? So everyone who didn't come to the convention is getting the convention exclusives? Seems par for the course of what SDCC is now though.
P.S. No way he had anywhere near 325 prints available at the con. Mondo obvs got some for their archives, and JE prolly held back at least a couple dozen for the retirement fund.

At SDCC EWAF were limited to 5 per print per person.
PBs went to Jason's booth on preview night and bought all the EWAF for all their PBs
People were literally giving him lists, "5 Thanos, 5 Prince, 4 Carrie, 4..."
Since each PB could buy 5 of each design, all 10 designs sold out on Preview Night.
Jason had no EWAF from Thursday until the con closed, because they were all PB'd for people not at the con.
He could have easily limited the sale to 2 of each design per person and had inventory to last him until the con actually opened on Thursday, instead he was selling scraps for the rest of the time.

Sounds like he wants to get the madness outta the way as soon as possible. As long as the fudge sells he can chill the rest of the week. I also get the impression he doesn't quite realize he's SHRN. #lifeisntfair #noteverythingisalottery

It's not a policy dictate by FB with the 5 per limit. Jason does that because he knows that people are trying to help out friends. And of course he knows people will buy extras to flip.
That 5 per limit has been the norm at his booth for the last year or so. It used to be you buy 5 you get 1 free.
SDCC is the only time the prints have sold out that fast at a con. More so due to the fact that the edition sizes were 'lower' ranging from 100-175. And SDCC has huge swath of print collectors going.
Comparatively , at NYCC he kept the same rule, and upped the editions for some to about 200-250. None of the prints sold out. There were allocations for each day , and a few of the days allocations sold out.
So SDCC is an outlier. And to a previous comment on paying $1k to go to a con and being mad that fudge is going to PBs. You are literally describing every con and gallery opening ever. People are grabbing for PBs or Flips at literally every event.
So your devils advocate argument doesn't hold alot of water.

What time is random usually? I know it says random but thought some here knew it usually got dropped around the same time every time. Maybe 11am/12pm EST?
Halloween license is getting a pumping lately...
