The Disney prisoner, $60 originals on the street, this, just everything. Art historians will talk about this fudge for generations to come and we have a front row seat. Or at least nosebleeds. drymounting awesome.
I agree and I love it. It's a hell of a lot more interesting that "Banksy sells for record at Sotheby's" headline.

Now that it is mentioned, the girls neck does seem to be abnormally long.

For whomever asked, Sotheby's has insurance on pieces until the gavel drops putting this in unknown territory. The gavel dropped but it was still in their possession so I'm sure the buyer could make a good case if they didn't want to follow through.

Alright so I just watched that video and something doesn’t seem right. All those blades are laying on their sides...they’re not going to cut a canvas like that at all. Right?!? Is it possible that the canvas in the frame scrolled down and was rolled up around a spindle while a pre cut canvas was pushed out the bottom of the frame?

Seems like a possibility. I agree that a bunch of xacto blades placed like that doesn't seem like it would work neatly like an office shredder.

It's not destroyed, it just takes a different shape.

I don't buy that nobody at Sotheby's knew about this, but it's still amazing.

Worth way more now than it could have ever been before.

agree about the xacto orientation, but if you look at everything else, seems on point. the frame appears to have a lip around it. the canvas exits on the backside of the lip. looks like it was already rigged inside to exit the frame. the bottomside has a fold and long tail that would make sense. $.02.

question is, will the winner keep it?
