Duke will only associate with impeccably pedicured ladies and lasses.

I have a great deal of respect for the way James is always pushing the boundaries with his prints, with regard to printing techniques and substrates. Transparent holographic stamping, spot varnishes, "diamond dust" screen printed layers, etc. It feels like this exploration of techniques is a whole other part of his artistry, and I definitely appreciate that. But at the same time, I'm kind of old fashioned, and would almost prefer to just have a more traditional print of these images, like they used to be. I mean this is a gorgeous piece, but the holographic stuff, for me at least, distracts from the beauty of the image. I don't know, I'm conflicted...

I'm not much for gimmicks when it comes to print jobs but that holographic from the images on the JJ site looks really drymounting sexy...

A holographic layer for this particular image is a gimmick that makes sense given the subject matter - highlighting Joi as a hologram is fitting and will give it a nice bit of dimension. Just feels appropriate to me.

How much of it is holographic? Just her head, or her whole body? the whole image?

I completely agree. I'm not trying to say it's out of place for the subject matter, or inappropriate the way that some people just throw foil in to have a foil. It totally makes sense here. But I guess, for me, it doesn't need it. The art is powerful enough to stand on its own, without the need for that.

I believe it's just the woman. But all of her.

Would have to imagine her whole body - it seems to be on her body here:

...and there's no natural cut-off point for her body down the image. So either she's all holographic or they cheap out and it cuts off randomly partway down.
