My eye goes to the 2D/3D conflict of the titles on the skyline. He shows some depth on the film titles with blood spatter and imprints in snow but as it travels up the composition it becomes flat and doesn't interact with the surface as it should. It's flat when it should remain raised.

Makes sense to me, the sun is behind the boys, their shadows become the (inverted) skyline, the snow is dug out

That's it. I couldn't figure out why it was bothering me. But it's this.

Big fan of Bermejo's art, but that looks like a comic cover for a movie adaptation issue more than a AMP.

Technically the building lines should not be straight and instead follow the contour of the snow surface which is not flat.

It doesn't make for an appealing aesthetic but as a result the eye picks up on the anomaly. Art versus logic. 8)
