Has anyone else tried this year's batch of Parabola?
There was a whole shelf full at Trader Joes for $10 no limit. I think I bought too many...

Philly Beer Week kicks off today. Giddy up.
Wow, I got the last one at my local shop a couple weeks back. Haven't had it yet, was thinking about comparing sometime to the bottle I still have from last year.Givn2wail wrote:Have you had one? Not good?taylorph wrote:Has anyone else tried this year's batch of Parabola?

Bottle date of September 22 which isn't considered an infected date. Just not sure what to think about this beer anymore. Local shop still has 2017 shelf turds lying around. Disappointed.
I recommend Pips Meadery to you! Baker turned me on to them just south of wisconsin border illinois, very tasty meads!

Awesome! I’ll have to do a road trip one of these daystalkingdeads wrote: I recommend Pips Meadery to you! Baker turned me on to them just south of wisconsin border illinois, very tasty meads!
They have Bos Meadery here in Madison which is decent but mostly blended / watered down. There is a place called Cider Farm (organic) here that make a cider with honey (Cyser) which is pretty good, but still not really mead.
That's a weird place for it. Never seen TJs carry Firestone fudge. I haven't had the 2018 regular yet, but did like the coconut rye I had on tap.taylorph wrote:Has anyone else tried this year's batch of Parabola?

The coconut rye parabola is good if you like strong coconut brews. I thought the 2017 was better but the 2018 might need time to balance out. I'm guessing it wasn't brewed in house though. Boulevard perhaps?

I had it at their "from the barrel" event on release day and I thought it was a great BA coconut stout. The lady said it was her favorite "strong ale" of the evening as well. The reg parabola was not as good as I remembered though.

I live near Hilldale, PM me if you want to trade. I don't have a ton of IPAs at the exact moment, but I will be going out to NY in July.pvecchi wrote:Just Outside MadisonImAMonster wrote:Where in WI are you?pvecchi wrote:Got some 2014s/2015s here in Wisconsin if anyone wants to trade (in person) for fresh IPAs or fruits/meads.
