I doubt it too, but looking forward to see the online lottery changes this year none the less.mfaith wrote:Kind of doubt it, since this is more of a collaboration/promotion with SDCC, not a standard booth release.BENYOUNG20 wrote:Fingers crossed all their prints are done this way this year....last year was ridiculous.

No way will they bring this over to their booth for all their SDCC releases. Most of their prints don't instantly sell out on the floor and linger for quite some time.
If anything they just need a bigger booth with more people in it to help the line move faster, but doing that sacrifices all that hype that is generated from having a capped line all day... and 50% of Mondo's business model is set on hype. I just don't see it happening.

There’s too much blank space on 1/3 of the print. This is just my projection of how I feel about it but it looks like he got tired of drawing or stopped 2/3 of the way through and just left it blank with a pattern. I doubt he did that but there is so much material that could have easily filled out the bottom portion. That kills it for me. I don’t even get the line pattern as a reason to leave the bottom empty, so maybe I’m missing something. Oh well. Still a Matt fan.DidYouSeeMeEscaping wrote:Managed to get the yet to be seen Wasp in there, but no Spidey. Kinda whackliptonsweettea wrote:

That explains it...though not a fan of it as a poster.playa787 wrote:It's also the cover of a magazine I believe. I imagine the empty space is for text/titles, magazine name etc.

Don't be killing the hype. SDCC attendees gotta pay the bills too.charter wrote:That explains it...though not a fan of it as a poster.playa787 wrote:It's also the cover of a magazine I believe. I imagine the empty space is for text/titles, magazine name etc.

We get it. You don't want to stand in line and don't think it's fair that other people get exclusives and you don't. Classic participation award mentality. No one wants lotto con except the people who don't want to put in the effort to get what they want. You get an exclusive, you get an exclusive, EXCLUSIVES FOR EVERYONE!
ignoring even all the empty space (problem with using a single image for multiple formats - magazine and poster); aren't the GOTG images just crops from his last GOGT print? (EDIT: I see that they aren't exactly the same or crops, but basically the same poses/layout.)charter wrote:There’s too much blank space on 1/3 of the print. I mean, that's fine if they are (deadlines, work-for-hire, etc. I get cutting corners), but it kind of kills the poster for me and I was already a little meh on it.

That being said I didn't say anything about things not being fair.
