Woah... just realized I can't even add new art anymore, let alone start a new comment thread on the art itself.

Guess that was the glory days?

If I donate can the funds be used towards a specific issue that I’ll include in the notes with my donation?

Agree that for me the site started going downhill when they locked FS threads. I had a big FS thread up for my honeymoon that I was bumping with pics from my actual honeymoon. Agree that if people can't handle comments there, just sell on ebay. Which half of the FS posts were always just links to ebay listings. Site just started becoming too sterilized after that.

Yeah, Roman and Electric Dave are the only ones I can think of. But was not around during the glory days.
Whatever happened with Roman?

That was a sweet thread^

Yep, we've discussed this before, but the FS threads used to be like your own personal storefront that people could virtually hang in. I miss that aspect of the hobby. Trading/selling on EB is dead compared to how it used to be. They certainly threw the baby out with the bathwater (or whatever) on that one. (Hoping we get back on track with the new site.)

The problem wasn't the sales threads, it was the people who didn't know how to behave in them. They don't shut down the mall because a couple of hooligans don't know how to act. Now that donkeyville has calmed considerably, we may be able to have nice things again.

Indeed. All, well, most, of the melty ones were banned. There is only one with the greatest potential and an occasional melt left that I can think of. Sad.
