it is a little hard to believe that 2 hours after drop you can still order one of the blacks. i may pick up a second from a desperate flipper. Perhaps offer this guy 165

Why is it hard to believe? It’s an open edition and the last open editions sold on kawsone, the two blush companions, were available for days.maddoghoek100 wrote:it is a little hard to believe that 2 hours after drop you can still order one of the blacks. i may pick up a second from a desperate flipper. How does an open edition ever say 'Sold Out"?

open edition does not mean unlimited/infinite, it means that the limit has not been set at the beginning of the run. It is an "open ended" edition. Production costs money, takes time, and molds have a limited life so at some point it will no longer be cost effective or deemed a good idea to keep producing. There is also certainly a first production run of these that will run out. it is unclear if it will run out before the second production run is ready.thekharmainitiative wrote:How does an open edition ever say 'Sold Out"?
Regarding the pink, they sold out the first production very quickly and later orders were pre-orders on later shipments.
All that said, I had heard the black would have a limited run and it may well have a limited but large run and people are holding off buying because they feel saturated form the first companions.
I think people are holding off because it’s expensive and they don’t like Elmomaddoghoek100 wrote:open edition does not mean unlimited/infinite, it means that the limit has not been set at the beginning of the run. sorry to burst your bubble but it's Elmo. Grover's eyes and nose are in the middle of his face. Elmo's eyes and nose is at the top of his head, exactly like BFF.alittle wrote:It's Grover.
if anything it's a mix of Elmo and Cookie Monster but it looks nothing at all like Grover.
