Edit. Just responded.
EDIT: Here's the post I wrote right before he reached out today (which leads me to believe he's subbed to this thread, because of exactly this reason).
The art has been finished for at least 7 months.
The printing could have happened long ago.
He's been completely non-proactive in communicating with the people who he's responsible to. And now he's offended that I'm not interested in excuses after all of this time.
That's the deal, not going to make any more out of it than necessary...he says they'll be shipped this week, but I can't say I have faith. It's not a ton of money, but I don't buy a lot of art anymore - I buy what I love, and this particular film/book is meaningful to me. There's absolutely no reason that it needed to be this difficult.
EDIT AGAIN: After a totally unnecessary argument about manners, he's acknowledged that I will see a tracking number this week. I guess we'll see.
And, if for some reason, he decides to deliver on his end with the print or the money, I'll report back. Until then, I've been nice enough.

In the messages exchanged, he gave an excuse, and then insulted me by making assumptions about how my time was spent over the holidays, something which is completely out of line to say.So, he responded in December, and then went silent again. Got a pic via facebook that these were *finally* printed a month ago, and then nothing again...not sure what the deal is, I've been nothing but nice to the guy.
First post of this thread was a year and a half ago, and it took until two months ago to get them printed by someone who made a mistake, and had to reprint. Got another photo almost a month ago that looked like the replacements had shown up, messaged him friday, not even a response when he's definitely posting on social media. Messaged him today, but I'm burned out on chasing adults down for something that he took money for and knows hasn't been delivered on.
While I want this print (and the art is lovely), I'm not about to hound this dude another day. He can't add me back to the facebook group after almost half a dozen asks, he's had everyone's money since 2015, and I just don't care (I actually had to ask someone to mention to him that people were asking about it when he was seen at MondoCon, of all places. Not cool.)
If AL is reading this, send me my print, or send me my money - given that my manners and maturity have meant exactly squat to you, that's the tone you've earned. Anyone wants to know who's commission club to avoid in the future, I can at least pm details on this one.
