Drinking a Pipsqueak Penguin from Trillium right now. Really love the Small Bird series they do. Don't get me wrong...I love some NE IPA's, but these lighter offerings that they do are so drinkable!

Also, that Curiosity Twenty-Nine that Tree House dropped yesterday...goddamn...it's something special. Just straight up consistency from those guys. So excited for the new brewery to open this year!

Hey VT people... what's it like at the new Alchemist brewery in Stowe these days? Is it a clusterf*ck everyday? I've never been, but I am probably hitting it on a Friday morning in a couple of weeks. I'm also considering heading up to Hill Farmstead from there. Any tips or info on what to expect?

Hill Farmstead was my favorite visit of my last VT trip, very simple setup and a nice tap room. A lot of land they are on (they are off the beaten path to say the least) and warmer weather would be great to just hang outside. Check their Instagram, as they are doing periodic special bottle releases. Definitely wish I had stocked up more when I was there.

I think Lost Nation is nearby them as well, also worth checking out.

Edit: Also The Pizzeria connected to Fiddlehead, really really good.

Not at all. We were there 2 days this past summer and never waited more than an hour. It was a breeze compared to Treehouse.

We made that drive too. It's gorgeous! Just know that the final 4-5 miles is gravel road. Might look like you're lost, but you're not. Hill Farmstead and Jester King are very similar and 2 of the most beautiful breweries out there IMO.

Thanks for the info. FWIW, I've never waited more than 40 minutes at Tree House. I'm usually in and out in about 25 minutes. I only go on Wednesday afternoons though.

I'm not a beer drinker, but when I found just a few bottles of this and remembered it was supposed to be limited and tasty, couldn't help myself. I fully expect the responses saying it's awful and overhyped, but we'll see...

I still like Pliny, especially fresh. Just not as juicy/dank as the new hotness East coast ipa's

Never had Pliny but a ton of the stuff coming out on the other coast, I want to try it in Cali and more The Younger hopefully.

Ended up trying it last night (with dinner - Italian) shared with my wife. It was strong but smooth. She is more the beer drinker and said it was very good. I think it would have been better if it had been colder (had only had it in the refrigerator for an hour or so before drinking). Looking forward to trying another at a colder temperature.
