Just build a mini coffin, put a mini Companion inside, take a picture of it, send it to KAWS, and tell him there it will remain until everyone who wants one gets one.

Not to sidetrack, but if anyone has an extra black bff plush from the museum that they would be so gracious to let go near cost, I would be grateful. Regards.

what makes you say that? a bit of speculation so no one knows for sure but the fact that he referenced open edition seems to point to future releases. if these were LE, would assume they would be numbered.

there are a number of people that have confirmed kaws will be releasing more of these. JPS Gallery and ToyTokyo also believe that these are unlimited and will have more coming.
While I don't agree that they would be numbered if they were a limited edition, I do agree there will be more released. Anyone saying otherwise likely has a vested interest and is trying to create a perception of scarcity.

I think I have a brain tumor after trying for that release last night, what a drymounting mess.

hmmm

I saw a post somehwere saying medicom was releasing in store only on october 29th and a future online release in november and that retailers were to get pieces also. I then heard it was limited to 7k of each figure. I believe that open edition means they are not numbered in the japanese market. Im basing that off my past experience in retail within japanese markets. Like the alife x bape collaboration as well as countless other instances i was a part of.

Good luck I got 3 full sets for a friend and sold two so he gets to keep the third one free I made some scratch and i got 4 others as i was unable or not fast enough to get 3 more sets. so i got all three flayed and a solo black. ill try for the brown and grey later if not, oh well, my kids will have passing, resting, flayed and some others to play with in the future.

kaws is prolly the most over-hyped artist on the planet.
