I had the same thought as well on it being a dream. I even yelled to my wife as she screamed "no not Arya!" "It's only a dream. You'll see in the next scene."trarex wrote:That scene was filmed strangely

I thought it was her. She let her guard down, thought herself clever for figuring out a way back home. Eager to help an old lady. Shanked and genuinely surprised to see it was The Waif. Anger took over and she fought back then escaped. Panic set in when she saw all the faces and realized she can't trust anyone because any one of them could be The Waif. I thought it was well told. The dream-like feel while awkward was probably the fault of the director or the editors. If it was Jaqen it doesn't keep consistent with arya's constant need for revenge. Which judging by the scenes for next week's episode she'll get plenty of. Also looked like she gets new duds again -- maybe a new face too?

How far away was the hound and how long does it take to kill all those people without hearing etc... seems odd the way they filmed it.

I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.

That entire sequence with Ian McShane was awful. And as much as I like him I agree with everyone who feels he was miscast.bethemonkey wrote:How far away was the hound and how long does it take to kill all those people without hearing etc... seems odd the way they filmed it.

Super bummed because all season long I heard he was only in one episode. I think I'm going to rewatch Deadwood now.... Goddamn cocksuckers!!

I thought so, but admittedly I don't think I have any idea how the faceless men work. Like, what are these potions for? Why do they drink them as some sort of final test? Why Arya saw all those faces including both Jaqen's and hers on that body right before she went blind. I know the answer to all this fudge is "magic", but I have a hard time figuring out what these guys are all about and and how they fit into everything else. Right now, it seems like Arya just wasted two seasons at this place and it didn't change her at all besides making her a better fighter. Obviously didn't do fudge to make her more vigilant, as she's skipping through town right after quitting some secret ancient assassin's society without even giving a two weeks notice.

Wasn't Jaqen cutting some dead dudes face off as he was talking to the waif?
