No release info yet but if people are getting this pissed about missing Alien merch they're going to develop twitches over SW.

Trust me, I understand collecting something that other people just dont get. That's the story of my life and im sure many others on this forum. But that LP seemed so overpriced I couldn't believe it. Like Mondo selling a Stout with the Ebay mark up built in to the price. Get it?BENYOUNG20 wrote:I always find it humorous when when one group of folks who collect something and spend lots of money for that then turn around and think folks that collect some other group of things as silly.
AKA "I Can't believe some one would pay hundreds of dollars for a record," for a pair of shoes, for a coin, for a print.....
Either way, I am a firm believer in the saying, to each his own.

Price was pretty on point.frieddumpling wrote: But that LP seemed so overpriced I couldn't believe it.
Jack White charged $100 for his single 12" liquid filled record that was lower quality, produced in higher quantities and he didn't have to pay any licensing on to make.
Mondo released a 2xLP that was better quality, took twice as materials to make, had to pay to get it licensed and is much more limited for twice the price.
But if they were going to mark it up to "ebay prices" it probably would have been priced at $500+. Friday the 13th was limited to 100 copies and sells for $500+ and Jack White made over 500 of his record and it sells for $300 easily (when it first dropped copies sold for over a grand.)
yeah. i think people are forgetting that its 2 LPs and not just one as all of the other previous liquid vinyls are.

I agree. It was worth the price. My big question was do I really need a record that is worth $225 retail. And, no... No, I don't. But, it's still pretty sweet for those who got one.

TBH, I probably would have dropped that much if it was Goldsmith's score for Alien.

Missed out on the Shaw as well, but picked up the Eng and Saptuo's. I wonder if a 24x36 print will be printed from Eng's Prometheus. Would make for a nice looking wall!

This is awesome. I'll have to give it a listen. I wonder how it compares to the isolated score and Intrada's 2 CD release.rubberneck wrote:Best edit/remaster:BackToTheFutureFan wrote:TBH, I probably would have dropped that much if it was Goldsmith's score for Alien.

Wish they done Alien day "Rocky Style." 4 different posters, 1 for each Austin location, tickets include a poster (with a date of the event).
Looked like all they had at the LA screening was Ripley shirts, badges, pins and the claim that maybe an actual Alamo theater will open by... Next year. Sigh. Line was too ridiculous to give a fudge about the merch. Movie started over a half hour late because of it. Screening itself was very enthusiastic.
