Got mine framed a few days ago.
White shiny wooden frame, passepartout with glass.

I'm really satisfied with the outcome.

I can confirm.
The same thing with my print, mostly visible in the light color areas around the waves.

Unless it's a part of the imagery, and there's no indication of that, grid lines would mean they needed to realign the print heads or that during the printing process they became misaligned. Hard to image they would let that happen but now I'm curious.
Post a pic please if you would.

Is it signed somewhere or is it just a regular poster?

I would think it is part of the original work. The painting is huge and wouldn't be surprised if he used a grid.

I agree, ^ the grid lines are not an indication of print head alignment issues. It appears to be an anomaly of it's own, the origins of which are a mystery to me unless it's a very subtle part of James Jean's original imagery.

Yeah, cause remember the original is huuuuge. If i were to guess, he drew a concept drawing on paper, and used a grid on the big painting to make sure the dimensions matched up.

So it goes...

I agree. it makes sense he used grids due to such a massive piece.

And Andre, that's exactly where the grids are on mine. Thanks all for relieving a bit of stress. Yesterday on the framing table was the first time I really got a good look at it so there was mild panic

looked like a bad nozzle on the print head, til i saw the vertical lines. definitely seems to be part of the art then.

I agree too. Spoke to my father today about this and he said the exact same thing.
You are welcome 666ways2love. Glad we cleared that up.
I actually did not notice before you mentioned it, I had to look real close.
