Ok... Let's just step back from the cliff and think this through before we jump. You have 4 walls right? And we're only talking 2 prints here so boom.. Problem solved.
Also, here's a puzzle to wrap you head around: Without Rift, there is no Mound.
So one cannot undo the fabric of the poster-verse and go bumping rifts down the food chain all willy nilly. Won't someone please think of the children?!

:P

i will agree, however, that Mound is stunning and I couldn't be prouder to own. Man oh man am I glad I pulled the trigger before the Welker show. Phew...

it's cute that this sells for more than most people got their secondary rifts for. not shocking considering the way it came about and who lead the purchasing group.

Create a commission + market + uber hype = creating your own market. Kinda scary BUT entrepreneurial, no doubt

I'm interested in this story, generally. But I am a "have" of this print, no thanks to Facebook though. I want deets on the hype and spearheader of the hype train. The engineer, if you will.

No need to talk fudge, no one can control what someone will be willing to pay for an exceptional piece of art like this one!!!

Awesome. But I love the offbeat tempo.

And drymount me. This kevkev guy is starting to annoy me. Creates a worthless "club," no giveaways, nothing but fluffing, and the time I try to do an awesome Furthur handbill giveaway, no one enters. Another pointless and worthless club. Take my badge away. I'm over it. I got mound framed, and OG framed, a handbill and a AP framed. I'm over it. Don't need a drymounting pin to prove I'm a fan.

I think I just about covered it. And I'm intrigued about this bmerel creating hype and pulling shady antics, yet again. Old habits never die, they just morph into other things. Once an addict manipulator, always one. I should know, come from a line of them myself. Exceept, I wasn't fortunate enough to be like him and a member of the "lucky sperm club"'with money to back my tom foolery. Had to fend and for myself. And I'll drink to that. :pint:

Why don't you roll around on the floor and hold your breath til you're blue in the face like a proper temper tantrum dictates, you drymounting baby. Wah, no one played with me - I'm taking my ball and going home. You sound like an awesome human being...

 Stop. All I was saying is it was a stroke of brilliance to get an artist like Welker to create a commissioned print that perpetuated the myth & ethos of Rift with absolutely beautiful imagery. Small edition, heady inks, a guaranteed success. Talk Sperry into a commission for some sexy ladies from Laguna Beach in '68 with that Gap Hippy vibe from the Milwaukee WP banger and you would have the same effect. And, at the end of the day, I think BM did this because he was a fan and when the dude's focused, ish happens
