Could say that Shep feels really strongly about this and wants to beat the issue into people. Constant attack and exposure. IMO, it's lacking. The collage background could be more pronounced and derrick looks a little wonky.bkboy77 wrote:don't get me wrong, it is a pretty picture. but totally going against the medium is the message theme.
pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.

That in itself is Beautiful!bkboy77 wrote:I don't get it. Oil is at an all time low. Companies in the fossil fuel industry are getting drymounted right now. Keystone pipeline just got rejected.
Sounds like Shep is taking issue with tax breaks and subsidies, and I definitely agree with him on that side of it. The industry may be at a low right now, but that's doesn't mean they aren't doing well every year because of subsidies and the lack of taxes they pay. It's definitely an issue.

I would really prefer to see Shepard Fairey taking on topics that are more timely and relevant. Sorry, the oil stuff has been beat to death. Gas/petrol is under $2 a gallon. The world is not running out of oil, contrary to what Peak Oil theorists were saying. Electric cars and alternative energy options are doing very well as well.
There's a lot to be excited about in that area, some prints in that topic would be welcome. I know he has done a few things in that area.
Speaking of current events, there's an ugly war going on Syria and people are dying and fleeing the region. Shepard Fairey supported the Arab Spring and contributed some interesting pro-democracy pieces. Since much of that has unfortunately not gone to plan and the power vacuum had been filled with fanatics, Fairey has had nothing to say publicly on this subject. A missed opportunity to stand up for Democracy and modernization. Maybe he's afraid.
