Regardless of the difference in appeal of the 2 prints, if ebay is flooded that quickly by as many copies, MBW will be the only one cashing in today. $1000 is how much Going to NY was flipping for to begin with and there weren't all that much of them getting reselled. It only started picking up some steam, like $1500+, when they got rare to come by.

If we see 50+ of them on ebay around $1500 BIN or best offer to leave a margin of profit for resellers, you guys know what will happen. They'll dry there unsold and the undercutting countdown to $1000 will be on. The exact opposite of Going to NY. One had supply<demand, now it might be supply>demand.

Now in a year, this will probably be a $1500-$2K print, but the flippers won't want to tie up their credit limits that long.

All good points. At $500 it is a def buy...I don't think this is a money loser and I don't think this will perform as well a Going to NY. Maybe 1700-2000 in a year.

Composition wise it also makes more sense. It could be perceived as Banksy giving MBW a 'free ride' on the whole art scene and with a nod to the movie with the cab advertising banner.

I interpreted this as The Grim Reaper as the driver and Mona Lisa as the passenger - a good ole' Art is Dead analogy.

It is a MASSIVE print, which likely justifies the price. Still a sequel, though, and not as awesome as the first.
