Bring back gigposters
Feeling like I'd like to pick up a nifty Elder poster or two, me thinks... Not much goin' round, from what I've seen though. This one's alright & really dig his Melvins too but yeah...
Anyone got any leads or know the whereabouts of any, if any, floating about? Cheers!

Look up his Facebook page - I think I recently saw an update about a promo code that added one of these Elder prints for free when ordering any of his other posters.
Also his poster for Earth is quite beautiful irl!

I'm seeing a lot of great work coming outta Europe these days ...like seeds that were planted a decade ago are coming into maturity.
I recall a few cats over there that would post on GP asking the right technical questions about getting their screen printing setups and getting exposed to the US poster scene at Flatstock.
Lars Krause, Malleus, Drew Millward & Luke Droze were the early wave getting bands, promoters & venues to see the value of good screen printed art.

Pioneers and promotion should be the pillars of the growing. In Spain there were no pioneers and the flatstock at the Primavera sound has helped a lot, the success has increased each edition but a new impulse is needed for the next edition,
The lack of success of the US bands that care the most about posters in Europe has also been a brake.
I have the feeling that collectors do a bigger effort for spreading this poster culture than most of the artists.

Collecting posters is not very common here in Europe. Maybe it´s also for the bad quality of the posters. People here have the experience that posters are printed on thin cheap paper. Artwork? Signed pieces? Poster art? Negative report. And yes, many US bands who have a big success in the States are not much known here abroad.
Will track this down as well as the new Walsh for Melvins Lite. Some bands seem to be really hard to make a poster for. Then you have bands like The Melvins who seem to fit with damn near any image ever.FrankBooth wrote:Sweet print from the man himself Haze XXL
