These are great but expensive and not really sure how to pay.
I'm in Canada and it costs more to ship everywhere, so get over it.

Those are incredible. Just at the painstaking attention to detail is mindblowing. Wish they werent almost $450 a piece, but you can clearly see why.

Officially licensed by Lucasfilm.

Part of a crowdfunding project on Makuake.com, these limited-edition woodblock prints were designed by artist Masami Ishikawa, engraved by master engravers, and handprinted by a master printer.
Looks like they even made the paper

These are wonderful, i read about them a while back but never checked up on them. glad to see that they reached their crowdfund goal. love it when an artisan goes the extra step to not only mimic an older style, but to use the traditional methods as well. Papermaking is an art in itself and definitely adds to the value. Worth the expense, I'll be keeping an eye out for these in the distant future

Another place that does pop culture in ukiyo-e style really well is http://www.ukiyoeheroes.com/

Was waiting for Tim Anderson's next sketch sale--for this specific piece. Love the design and I dig anything on scratchboard. Check em out.

Anyone see the Star Wars original spray stencils done by FAKE that were released today? I think they are spot on.

Vader is sold out, I think others (C3PO and scout trooper) are still there.

That's funny, I was just going to post a question about McQuarrie's art. I was looking through the Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight book with my kids yesterday and thinking yet again how brilliant McQuarrie's concept art is. Has any of it ever been available in something vibrant, like giclee? I don't think I need wood versions of the illustrations, but giclee on nice paper would be great.

McQuarrie's art has been released in a few different formats over the years. There are vintage portfolios that were released as sets for each movies release. As for newer releases, there were official lithos released in the late 90's, and he started selling prints online, but with his recent passing, much of what's out there has gone up in price considerably. Check out ebay....

I thought everyone might be interested in this. It is by a Chicago artist working in a traditional ukioye style. My husband and I stumbled across him this weekend at a street fair and picked up his battle for Hope triptych in about 10 seconds flat. An extremely satisfying $50.00.
