Almost every frame I have in my house consists of a darkish mat or two with a simple frame. I tried similar options for this and nothing seemed to work at all. I had actually originally picked a grey outside mat and a black inner mat, but my girlfriend spotted this option that was newly in stock.
The pattern on the mat really picks up/mimics the patterns of the road in the image. It’s difficult to capture with a photo. And the colour ties in to the print especially in the top right corner where there are brownish panels alongside the building.
The photos I posted appear more vibrant than it does in person – it’s actually quite muted.
That’s about it. I’m glad I went with something different.
