I tried more options than you can poke a stick at.
Almost every frame I have in my house consists of a darkish mat or two with a simple frame. I tried similar options for this and nothing seemed to work at all. I had actually originally picked a grey outside mat and a black inner mat, but my girlfriend spotted this option that was newly in stock.
The pattern on the mat really picks up/mimics the patterns of the road in the image. It’s difficult to capture with a photo. And the colour ties in to the print especially in the top right corner where there are brownish panels alongside the building.

The photos I posted appear more vibrant than it does in person – it’s actually quite muted.

That’s about it. I’m glad I went with something different.
I drymounting love how it turned out. Brilliant.

That wooden contrast is spot on. Nicely done.

Dude, all your posts are ebay spam in the discussion threads. Post on the sales boards if you have something to sell.
So it goes...

sorry guys. To be honest I rarely post and just figured since I am putting it at no reserve it was worthy of mention on this thread.

Up closer to Fury 2
In other news, Jem's working on two larger paintings, both of which feature cosmonauts! Whether or not one of them is King Edward is unknown. Hope to see some WIP process photos along the way.

Does anyone have info about this? I'm pretty sure Geddes did his first, but seeing as how Tavares Strachan isn't exactly a nobody, I'm just curious as to how I can't seem to find any post online mentioning anything about it at all.
