I would suggest anyone planning on reading the SevenEves take notes on the characters, cause there are a lot of them.

Really enjoyed The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow. Lots of violence though, not for the faint of heart.

Great book! I'm about to get into his newest, The Cartel.
Good call. Just ran through The Cartel. Fun sequel. Really enjoyed both books. I'm sure there will be a movie or two soon.

One of my favorite books of all time, truly epic. The ending is one of the best in history. Read Tai Pan next; not a big fan of Gai-Jin, which is technically the sequel to Shogun, but has few similarities. King Rat would be my next favorite Clavell novel.

Finished this a few weeks back. The first 2/3 was great and I really enjoyed it. However, the concluding 1/3 was pretty disappointing. It's hard to discuss much more without spoiling it, but what a letdown.
