Go back to the interview on the other page, Godzilla is born out of the atomic blast so his tail is hidden by the mushroom cloud, which is actually a representation of the bikini underwater tests

TL:DR.

BTW FACTOID - Godzilla was directly inspired by Ray Harryhausen's The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms
Phish had a festival this past weekend and a humongous movie screen set up in one corner of the concert field. They played old movies all night the first night and that one was the 10pm showing. Good stuff.

Definitely lots of details on distant shores usually.

I ended up just getting my money back, DHM was very quick about it. Nothing against the art or their site, both are good. But I'm just not a Godzilla fan.

The only winner on this one is DHM.

Anyone have any dark hall canvas photos. Like King Kong or forbidden planet?

Haven't read all the way back for this Durieux Godzilla yet but damn... Im a big Durieux fan as well as Godzilla but for this print I definitely feel a little let down. IMHO this is farrrrr from his best work and I still believe the PCC Godzilla (the first one made of the rubble, not the smoke one) is wayyyy better if not the best. I would've hoped Durieux's would've smoked it but it just looks like he didn't put the thought or time into it.

I definitely disbelieve DHM on the fact that they have been working on this for a while, cause if he had I believe it would've turned out soooo much better. I really feel they made him throw this one together uber fast ..

But I guess I will never know and honestly, I think I may let my copy go as soon as I get it...

Or you could just email them and have them remove it from your order, like they said you could.

What print did you help them clear their inventory of?
