There are 5 that I can think of. The PCC and the Ortiz one which are definitely for the 2014 remake. There's the Tom Whalen one from Pulp Menagerie which is definitely for the original 1954 version. There's the one that was released at Comic-Con by Shan Jiang which does not really look like a specific movie Godzilla that I can think of, but is kind of evoking the 1954 imagery. Then there's this one which probably looks the most like the 2014 version since he's so fat, but it's so nondescript that it's more of a poster for the character of Godzilla rather than any specific movie. I'd like to see some posters for other movies that include more monsters in them, but I think generic Godzilla prints would probably sell better. I'm not sure how many other people would be excited about a Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster print other than me.KSUvet wrote:Yep. I don't know how the numbers compare, but it feels like it's challenging Alien and Iron Giant for the overdone throne. Maybe I could understand if it was the original, for it's classic status, but these are all for the remake, right? I'm not a Godzilla expert, but are there that many remake fans to warrant all these posters?charter wrote:No more Godzilla, please.

I'm willing to bet kaiju likeness rights are to blame. It wasn't until the recent IDW series that comic companies in North America were allowed to use any Toho creature beyond Godzilla. I was surprised Toho allowed Mondo to release a Godzilla 1954 poster.

That would be! Megalon is my favorite, not because I think he's the best, but because I had a VHS copy of Godzilla vs Megalon that I watched over and over again when I was a kid.monsterzerozero wrote:That would be rad.longchamps wrote:I'm not sure how many other people would be excited about a Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster print other than me.

You guys aren't alone, as long as the poster is as equally tripped out as the movie. Definitely one of my top 3 Godzilla movies.monsterzerozero wrote:That would be rad.longchamps wrote:I'm not sure how many other people would be excited about a Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster print other than me.
