Love that Mark put his Son's name on the sign over Belle's head.

This is actually my biggest issue with the print. I'm fine with personal touches and Easter eggs in prints if they're subtle but this is a bit too "in your face" for me. It's still a great print outside of that.

I thought it was a nod to Ollie Johnston for some reason, but now I see it's spelled differently. You could still go with that, if it makes you feel better.

Printers don't really dictate the art style though. If the art file/seps have a grainy appearance to them, isn't that how they will be printed? I refuse to believe that Englert's prints look fuzzy just because of the printer, I always put it on his artistic style. Same with much of JC's work, though he is much better at that style than Englert IMO.

I like a lot of JC's and Mark's artwork and really appreciate their artistic and drawing ability, but I preferred when screenprints had to work around the limitations of the stencils used to create them. Now that the registration of the screens (due to mechanical, computerized pulls), along with the mesh and emulsions can be so tight and fine, we see more diffuse printing. If you're going to lay down essentially dots of ink rather than solid areas, why not just giclee it instead? That's what an inkjet excels at.

If Stout starts to diffuse his movie prints too, it's the end.

I was at D23, stood in line waiting for the Whalen variant drop today with about 10-15 people. It took 5 hours for them to sell out an edition of 90. Not used to that type of thing a con. Spent the weekend running around trying to grab handbills and was able to score one of the uncut sheets. Pretty stoked.

Damn! Not a fan of event exclusives, but congrats on the score. Must have been nice not having to deal with the usual craziness at "normal" cons.
