I said I don't like it but some people enjoy it, to each their own.

Did anyone come in and ask why you were blown away by a simple color change on a print? Their is a whole world outside of Horkey and Co.

Only because he sides with how you feel about Fairey now....I'm surprised though considering you probably made some decent cash off Fairey prints. I mean honestly not long ago you were all up on Sheps peen, what happened?

Ipath can say all he wants, but I bet you he joins the next Halloween Costume contest or some other bullshit here soon. Trust me, he's not over it or done with him.

This year, weak. I've bought 2 prints I think, maybe 3 but I'm still definitely on the bandwagon...

And you wonder why i dont come around here very much. I ask a simple question, curious about what folks think is good about something, and you jump down my throat. Should really relax a bit. Not everything is some big argument. :pint:
So it goes...

It's because you can't leave the Horkey thread...be real.

Yes a simple "worthwhile" question.

Well, I like the use on the watch and its positioning in the image and the fact that it is not text heavy. The watch face is sloppy but that does not ruin it for me.

He lost my interest, and I was chasing the dragon. And having a bunch of similar 18x24 prints up around the house didn't interest me, and since I decided to focus more on framing as opposed to collecting/hording, obey was the first to go. Didn't make much of anything, actually, cause I didn't get in on the ground floor. Made some friends and had some laughs, though.

Plus, I'm a collector by nature, and part of the fun of collecting is not only the image/appearance of an item, but also its scarcity. Sure there are exceptions to this rule, but generally, that's the case for me. So, when the image quality goes down, generally speaking, coupled with the fact that I'm not going to frame, and they are released ad nauseam, I'm out.

I was definitely on the bandwagon right there with ya for a bit, absolutely. Obey is even how I met treejam, which were some odd and interesting times.

Finally, while I agree with most of sheps messages, they are too obvious and in your face. I get that's his thing, but it's not so much mine. To my eye, the commentary in things like Keyes gets across the same, except with a more artistic and subtle tone. Of course, this is all to my eye and mind, and reasonable minds can always differ. (Although we all know in our heart of hearts that only we are right :D )

Nobody is forced to buy Shep´s artwork.

Flippers might not have much profit on some of the latest prints. And this is fine.
So real fans have the opportunity to buy his artwork.
Shep will be happy not to see so many sales from flippers on ebay for his extremely cheap artwork.

So everyone is happy.

I´m the same - and very thankful for support because I have very often on Tuesdays exactly during the release hour meetings.

I think that we are getting classic Obey right now. Some of his strongest stuff in years. The debate over why the watch isn't exact, or the fingers aren't correct is a bit dull in my opinion.

Someone should talk to this guy.....the watch is missing a 2, and I'm pretty sure watches don't melt like that......
