I'm usually critical of Fairey, but this image is great....couldn't pass.lsmith55 wrote:IMO the best image he has released all year. That's not saying alot because its been pretty lackluster, but still, I really do like this image. Looks more in line with his classic/older images.
I wouldn't deal with JakeStanley / eBay user fratdaddyjake

I usually also buy the weaker prints of Fairey because I love his messages.natepachl wrote:I'm usually critical of Fairey, but this image is great....couldn't pass.lsmith55 wrote:IMO the best image he has released all year. But I couldn´t get this beautiful print because of people who pick and choose. This might not be fair but it´s reality.

it's an attractive image.natepachl wrote:I buy for the images, his messages feel hypocritical and phoney to me.
What is the message/protest in this image? Is that crude oil on the flower?

Well, quickly looking at products for sale on his website - he's got variety of products that are all petrochem based (PU, Nylon, etc). What about all the freight/logistics resources consumed to ship this stuff.bulkhead72 wrote:How so?natepachl wrote:his messages feel hypocritical and phoney to me.
The VOC's from spray paint and screen printing certainly get overlooked - but everyone loves the smell of those prints right out of the tube.

he's anti greed on Wall Street yet pumps out garbage prints just to make money.
some are great, sure. but others he's just running a money printing press
on the other side, he could likely sell them for quite a bit more. At least his prices are somewhat reasonable.davidpesek wrote:bulkhead72 wrote:How so?natepachl wrote:his messages feel hypocritical and phoney to me.

I wonder how many times he has signed his name on prints.
