Couple rough thumbnails for @mondotees from the past few years-There Will Be Blood on the left, The Two Towers on the right. Most of my stuff starts out in this way-very loose, tiny and mostly gestural to get a handle on composition early in the process. The TWBB project in particular posed a veritable redwood forest of challenges with so many individual vignettes and the sheer amount of visual information crammed onto it's surface. #aaronhorkey #mondo #therewillbeblood #twotowers #minutiae
I liked the original upside down cross as the 'T' in PTA. Wish that would have stayed.
