Didn't hate the Oldboy remake

Does anyone watch Derek on Netflix? Caught the first two episodes last night and really like it. Great to see Ricky Gervais in such a different role

I made it halfway through the third episode, and totally agree. I wanted to like it ... I enjoy serialized, "sci-fi" type mysteries like this, but good lord. It's just so bad.PLUSH wrote:Started watching Between, new NetFlix original. 3 shows in. This show sucks! The writing is horrible, the acting bad, and very similar to Under the Dome.
I was going to also describe it as a shitty version of Under the Dome ... and that show isn't exactly a gem either.
Because it's the print we deserve, but not the one we need right now. So we'll hunt it.
Let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet.

Anyone hear watch The Almighty Johnsons??? It's a comedy-drama about Norse gods living in New Zealand. Starts off slow but I've grown to enjoy it as the series progresses. Took an episode or two before I realized that one of the brothers also played the lead in Dead Alive (Braindead) while another played Fili in The Hobbit.
Apparently there was an edited version on SyFy which I can't recommend; it takes away some of the Kiwi charm associated with it. The version on Netflix is uncensored.

Assholes get elected, cause assholes get to vote.
it's been mentioned in the horror movie thread, but CREEP hit netflix today. it's one of the more memorable horror movies i've seen in awhile. it's funny, bizarre, awkward, and uncomfortable. it's found footage and low budget, but worth checking out in my opinion.
