None of this would even be an issue if people cared as much about the art as they do the little number in the bottom right corner, which dictates its value through supply and demand.

This definitely doesn't encompass this argument.....Or at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

Sometimes these arguments get all lumped together at one point.

Currently we are on the subject of influence, genere, and mimicry.

The original issue against Doyle stems from his supposed reprinting. It left a bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths and made it easy for people to hop aboard the "burn Doyle at the stake" bandwagon.

tim's done MORE than enough to give himself a bad rep without mike or DD's opinion on unreal estates dude.
I'm just saying some things may be considered more tolerable depending on the artist. The fudge with the mystery tubes probably wouldn't have been an issue if it were anyone but Doyle.
Yet, if anyone but Doyle did that, I am sure "doyled" would be one of the first things that came to most people's minds (here at least).

We do need more catch phrases, but

P.S. Most of the people here are in this hobby because of that very number.

Gotcha. I think this whole avalanche started with Tim posting about his unreal estate 3. Then MPE said something then it all spun out from there.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on the reprinting. Mostly don't care.
