It woulda looked much cooler carved out of the rock face, IMO.rfalk32 wrote:I have to agree the piece is awesome but the title looks like he took some word art over a hand sketched piece.Darkknight37 wrote:That's pretty rad. yeah I'm not a huge fan of the single isolated color. Though I suppose it was ok with the Charlie Brown ones.
I love Nicos style but I'm not much of a movie poster guy. The title font looks better in the closeup pictures tho. But it looks like I'll wait for his next one.

ITT it's that they are in such contrast to the surroundings. That is ,along with the golden New York skyline, they have a sorta art deco vibe whereas the rest is "normal Delort".Darkknight37 wrote:That's pretty rad. Something about the title is throwing it off for me though.
Think it's kind of a neat concept, the projector projecting an image (the title) of King Kong that is at odds with what Kong actually is. Obviously matching what happens in the movie later on...also a bit meta.

Few closeups from Nicolas Delort to share on Kong. Going for '30s silver screen aesthetic on lettering.

Prices for Darkhall prints have been worryingly high recently.
