Yep, if this was a Mondo drop, they'd all be gone by now. I think it's a good poster that does not retread old ground. I still don't think many people realize that these are officially licensed.

Umm...
You also could sell it on the Mondo site and sell hundreds within minutes. Can you crap that much fudge?trarex wrote:I could take a dump in a box and write officially licensed on the side.
Now you have an officially licensed piece of fudge......... WHOOT WHOOT
It's probably a fair mix between people not being educated about the status of a poster (lots of new collectors) and people really not giving a fudge about it anymore. Honestly, with these unlicensed private commissions generating so much interest, you have to wonder. It's not like it's discussed a lot around here and posts like the one above show the spirit going on anyway. If every time a licensed poster was released we'd see comments like ''cool, it's official'' and for the unlicensed stuff we'd see ''boo, too bad it's not the real deal'', then people would start paying attention, but right now, it's just not something on the mind of many.bulkhead72 wrote:I still don't think many people realize that these are officially licensed.

Could also be a situation where people who love TCM have already bought one of the other posters they've done. Don't get me wrong, I like this one a lot, but, if I had already bought one of the others, it might be a factor in my decision to pull the trigger on it
It's not a comment about the art but being "officially licensed"
I've never made a purchase or not purchase something because it was officially licensed.
You either like it or don't the words officially licensed aren't going to change my opinion of it.

Most of the A list artists wont touch anything unlicensed anyway, so indirectly they're helping contribute to the draw of officially licensed posters.tranito wrote:It's probably a fair mix between people not being educated about the status of a poster (lots of new collectors) and people really not giving a fudge about it anymore. This. I wish they woulda let each artist take on one of the sequels. TCM2 gets almost no love and its so classic. the art gabz did for TCM2 on those blu ray slips is great, if only that was a full size print.matowest wrote:Could also be a situation where people who love TCM have already bought one of the other posters they've done.
