Was actually going to grab one of these today but adding another print from his store to check shipping and it's £31 shipping to the US. The print itself is £30. Just a heads up to anyone from the US.

An unfortunate dealbreaker. The Dude doesn't abide.essential wrote:Was actually going to grab one of these today but adding another print from his store to check shipping and it's £31 shipping to the US. The print itself is £30. Just a heads up to anyone from the US.
Didn't realize the print was available in two diff shops. Swainson's store is £31 shipping to the US but the Cult Cinema site is a more palatable £12 shipping to the US (at least for one of the other prints in the shop). So for UK buyers I guess it doesn't matter but US buyers stick to the Cult Cinema shop.

I'm pretty sure Swainson's shop is so expensive because he is only going to have the Wood Variant available...which would obviously be substantially more.

The notes on the wood edition say that he has tried rolling them but they are nearly impossible to roll? So I'm assuming the wood is on a very thin, flexible piece of wood?
Ahh, just saw, it is a 6mm wood panel. Very thin. Wish it was on a substantial wood panel.

Most likely wood Veneer. It is a cheaper option for printers and artists... the veneer can be cut on the normal cutting machine most printers have. If they used regular wood they would have to purchase the saws and suchearlgreytoast wrote:The notes on the wood edition say that he has tried rolling them but they are nearly impossible to roll? ... large investment for a printer to shell out for if the demand at the shop is not high enough.

Naw, I carted and tried to check out with his Guardians of the Galaxy and it quoted me £31 to the US. I assume the Wood will be much more than that. Swainson's shop will have half of the regular edition and the other half are on Cult Cinema.moviemaniac wrote:I'm pretty sure Swainson's shop is so expensive because he is only going to have the Wood Variant available...which would obviously be substantially more.
