Not sure either. I'll add it to the list.jrsheppa wrote:I don't understand why people hate halftones so muchchalkdust wrote:not sure why halftones would be used on a stencil design like that
1. Foil
2. Glow
3. Halftones
Believe it's in the little areas with the shadow.

Don't forget to add Metal and Giclee .
Oh, and anything to do with papercuts is now a hanging offence.
Basically, people hate everything. These are the rules, dammit!
......which reminds me of Codeblue's sig:

You know who hates giclees? Mondos do. They love their screen prints complete with shitty inks.

What's with the halftone hate? They allow areas of shading that might not have been otherwise possible in a limited color screen print.
I guess that's why the use here puzzles me. Doesn't really add to the image, makes it seem fuzzy. Actually I think halftones have a definite use and are sometimes necessity. No hate here, really like the image/concept..
I would agree. Half tones don't really make as much sense for an image meant to mimic stencil art. *shrugs*chalkdust wrote:I guess that's why the use here puzzles me. I'm sorry if this has been explained elsewhere, but is Bottleneck fulfilling the François à l’Americaine from Nautilus? I just got a shipping email from Bottleneck stating "Laurent Durieux 24x36" is on the way.

Despite your 10 months of expertise, I think it prudent to leave it to the professionals when making those calls. Not the best idea to be throwing your two cents in all over the place when you barely have a nickel to your name.mfaith wrote:I would agree.
