because this artist also puts very small afford into his work.piomba wrote:Why are "Bansky" and "Obey" listed in the title of the ebay listing? Am I missing something?
but serioussly, if he didn't throw them into the title this auction would get a max of 5 visits i guess.
There is some speculation that the MBW show was just an elaborate stunt, though if I had spent thousands of dollars on a 'stunt' I'd be looking to break this guy's other foot:

Finally, this exchange was posted by a couple of members:
M1:I heard this was bankrolled and conceived by Banksy. If so, it could prove to be a classic piece of conceptual street art trickery.
Anyone heard the same ?
M2: Yes and yes.
I have heard that it's kind of a stunt.
Rumours that some of the work, if not all, could have actually been painted by some seriously big names, Banksy included.
Also heard that the whole thing may have been a stunt, as it's the final scene for the film. Kinda showing how easy street art is to sell to A-Listers, who know nothing about the scene and are just fashion followers. The last laugh being on the punters that bought.
Saying that, that's the reason i did buy a piece, because knowing that in advance, whether true or not, made me feel that i was buying a piece of history of this scene. Plus i thought that if it was true, it's a pretty cool stunt to be part of.
that first link just introduced my to the wonderful art of Melissa Forman. thank you very much, man.piomba wrote:hmmmmm...
