The reg will be super vibrant... Yellow and oranges are neon ink, the purples are metallics.

EDIT: just the lake is metallic... that got changed later and I forgot.

When deciding what to go with I had to ask which would Ron Swanson pick? Vintage warm color palette printed on wood was the answer. Had to go with wood variant!

Yeah, the character definitely drove the choices on the variant, and printing on wood.

The idea for the reg is for it to fit in with all the old National park posters.

also, here are some details shots of Pawnee National Park:

I treated it as if I was actually just cutting rubylith with an x-acto knife. I did plenty of that when I worked at the litho shop, cutting masks and such.

Oh, I also did all the lettering by hand. I knew I'd never find that font and even if I found something close, I'd have to squash and stretch it to simulate lettering by hand...

Great print. Too bad parks went out so badly though. Oh well, still one of my favorites. The last season was just so, so off, and felt forced. Onward and upward. Great print, mark.

I ended up going with the variant but I think I would have gotten a wood if it was a reg. Something about those colors on the wood panel.. Can't wait to see these in person. Should be awesome!
