There is great detail in much of this poster and the layout is pleasing, but I can't get past the renderings.

I think the issue some are having with this print is the difficulty to focus one what is foreground and what is background at first glance. You really need to focus on individual objects in order to determine mid, fore or background. I'm thinking final product will look a lot different but right now everything blends together too much. When you first look at it all you see is Gollum and the title.

Less is more sometimes.

I am part of the commission. I'm satisfied, but i think the way it's coloured contributes to the muddiness. Overly brown, it's hard to distinguish things in the small jpeg image. Will certainly look better printed.

With that said, you should have seen the pre-coloured version. Was absolutely gorgeous. Waiting to see what happens with the variant, because i might end up preferring it if whatever the changes are suit it better.
