Might have given my last away with some comics recently, but I can take a gander when I get home.mfaith wrote:I'd love one if you have any extras.alittle wrote:I had a bunch of those. I just kept giving them away. I have (had?) some made from the covers of illuminated alphabet as well.

Agreed, loving the change in subject matter, I hope he does similar work for the next book iteration.RiotAct wrote:Nice to see him drawing that subject material, too - seen mostly humans, humanoids, and machine-type stuff from him in the past.
What a waste! I am sure he recycles them.
People would definitely pay a pretty penny for them. But I understand why he does it, so that nobody can reproduce his art.
I always thought it was strange that Faile keeps a lot of their screens from their art. I would assume most artists destroy their screens.
I wonder how many screens of Horkey's older work are just laying around BoNA right now.

I like to think that all screens or plates for limited edition art are destroyed once the run is complete. It serves to uphold the integrity of the edition.

Congrats! I have all of them except for 1 and 4. You got the heavy lifting out of the way early.greedy21 wrote:Excited to have had these land today, editions 1, 3 and 4. If anyone else has others FS/FT let me know, trying to put the set together.
I'm sure most of the print houses clean their screens when they're done printing to use for another print. Those things are expensive. And, for screen printing, it's not very difficult to burn another set of screens if you need to for some reason. Plates for etchings are a different story though, once those are destroyed I'm sure it'd be damn near impossible to make another one that exactly matches the first.Kramerica wrote:I like to think that all screens or plates for limited edition art are destroyed once the run is complete. Used my extra book that I ordered to do have a couple images framed. My framer was able to use the newspaper it came with as a wrap for the matting. I had a really difficult time narrowing it down to two pages that I wanted to have done. Sorry for the glare!
