Hi

what would be the best way to store posters? They are currently in poster tubes which I have been made aware isn't the best way to keep them. I am looking for an inexpensive way to keep them looking their best without framing them all - (i have too many) !

Would something like how they have in art gallerys when you purchase prints be good i.e. some plastic folder type thing with a cardboard backing?

any help much appreciated!

Do you have screenprints or posters? Big difference.

Get two full size pieces of acid-free foam core. Hinge one long edge together with tape, and stack your posters in between. Put sheets of glassine sheets between each poster to protect against scuffing the inks. Use a few binder clips to hold the sandwich closed.

First buy a few Itoya portfolio cases for your 18x24 prints...

Then buy a few pieces of acid free backer board and mylar sleeves for the bigger 24x36 prints.

If you have anything bigger than that... could be time to invest in a flat-file drawer.

Hello - just started collecting posters and need some advice about storing them. Seen quite a bit about different techniques. Does anyone have a recommendation on which is better - the Itoya portfolio case or the Picturesque Presentation Cases available from JerrysArtarama.com? My prints will be typically from Mondo (if I can buy them), 24x36, screen printed.
