Well said Ozzysworld. Don't worry you're among friends. 99% of people on here flip at some point in their lives. Some a lot more than others.

Wish I wasn't such a flip newbie....curious whether the variant or regular will be better for flips or trades. Are there any cases when the variant version is not more popular? It seems like variants are always more popular/'worth' more.

Just echoing the comments of some others, this scene has been done over and over, but great artist in a genre often tackle the same subjects, so it is nothing new. How many madonna and child have been done.

Interesting to see AHs version. I'm still waiting donato giancola to finish his oil painting version. The sketches seem spacular.

Faceless Gandalf kinda creeps me out, but the rest of the print is great.

Do any of the Horkey LotR prints have the ring on them?

They all have the branch circle to symbolize the ring/eye of Sauron

Ozzysworld wrote:Well, I thought I clicked on 'comments' for this print, but apparently I clicked on the 'only-discuss-the-quality-of-the-art-page.' I figured all and any comments on this print were welcome....but I guess not.
Anyways, as above user stated: I'll be posting on using an acquisition of one of these prints to trade towards a Horkey I really want in the "up my ass" forum.
You clicked on the "art comments" thread. The "up my ass" (a/k/a the "Release Discussion" thread ) is here: http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewtopic.php?t=148281

See the bright pink box at the top of the page here in the "art comments" forum? When you see that, you are only supposed to be discussing the artist, art, or artwork. Any discussion of the drop, flipping, resale, shipping status, etc. should be in the Release Discussion thread.

Hmmm I could have sworn I saw a Balrog painting from donato at spectrum or illuxcon one year.

Read the forum, ask in the right section, you'll get a non usless answer... Read the pink box at the top.

This is possibly my favourite of the three, I'll reserve final judgement until I see them both in person, but it's my favourite print in a good while.

Agreed.

Awesome print per usual, but I think I'm siding with those who would have preferred a different scene/theme. Maybe the Shire, Ring Wraiths, Rivendell?
