It amazes me how Pollocks work has digressed....there is so much more detail in his earlier works.

Fine lines, things in the sky.

Not nearly as impressed with his prints from current Phish runs.

How can prints from '99 have more detail to them then 2009?

I don't understad..

But people here cherish Pollock, so I'll probably get slayed for the comments..

Mmmmm, I need one of these. Too bad when I was at the show I could have cared less about the poster. Great times.

I agree w/ you to some degree, yes some prints since PH's return haven't been as detailed or amazing as prints prior to 09' but there are a few that I think as nice as the old school ones.

Not sure if it's a factor or not but Pollock did pretty much ALL the prints prior to 03' so he spent more time on them and wanted to make quality items? I"m really don't know.
Common sense, is not that common

I believe the problem now is the artists dont get enough time from when they find out they have the job until the due date.

still really like Hampton 2009 and Alpine 2009. Lots going on in some of his other prints I just dont like them as much.

I am very fortunate to be the proud owner of a framed mint copy of this print. It's one of my favorites among my collection. If I ever decide to sell, I will post here first to try to allow it the chance to get to a good home where it will be appreciated and displayed proudly. :)

I love how an iconic poster like this only has 1 page of comments while so much forgettable crap has a dozen.
