Jeral Tidwell's interview was outstanding... probably one of the most interesting of the whole series for me.

On a side note, Jeral's art is what lead me down the rabbit hole of this whole poster-thing. I first saw this bunny print of his at OMGposters while cruising the net for some inspiration on a job.

It was sold out, but I've been keeping my eyes open for it. I'd love to hang it on my wall. AID has been awesome. I'm glad they're back with a new fire.

I'm loving AID AM to get my AID fix.

Got my t-shirt in. It's lovely.

Hoping the Kickstarter pops up soon.

I got my shirt in the other day, love it. Came with some nice extras too!

Today's AM with Rich Kelly was good!

The only part I really didn't like about the Rich Kelly episode was Mark's rant about someone complaining about Aaron Draplin's web site design. Mark basically claimed that artists don't really need to have a nicely designed web site (even though they're designers) and there are alternative methods to make one anyway.

That's like saying, if I wanted to advertise my [insert type of design service here] using a poster, I could just use some kind of cheaper, partly-automated design software and it will be adequate. Square Space is fine, but how would you feel if I always used a poster creation tool for my poster and it helped me get clients? And I guess my poster doesn't necessarily need to be well-designed either.

It seemed like he was being very dismissive of the benefits of a nice web site and the web design profession.

Even web designers and developers don't have time to make their own web sites quickly because they're doing client work all the time. It doesn't mean you don't really have time to get something nice up over the period of a year. Dedicate some time to it instead of watching / during the latest episode of your favourite TV show. Otherwise, how about you hire a web person to do it?

Darkknight was talking about this at the recent Jay Ryan workshop and that he'd actually be on it a few times so have now gone through a few.

Hands down, my favorite quote so far is from Daniel Danger... "the budget given to me determines how much of the image is sky."

Miles tsang was great today too, just super enthusiastic about making posters, and where the his work comes from, that he was almost tripping over his words to explain, too many people are so jaded and spend way to much time trying to act cool.

although the internet connection kept going and that kept making me think that my computer was breaking
