realized I was getting no return on an ISA so decided to buy some shares - looked around - went with what were generally considered safe bets - already two hundred quid down since 26 September

...Less than 2 weeks ago? You should see them as a long-term investment.

Just invest in some old stouts. They'll earn more than any ISA.

I know it was just funny that I bought these shares in Rolls Royce and literally the next day the price fell off a cliff

I can't believe how expensive DHL is. It's nice to have a collection service, and it's very hand to be able to pick up your parcel from one of their express stores outside of office hours. But bloody hell the price difference between DHL and Royal Mail is incredible.

For a package being sent with the uk, insured to £350. These are the prices.

DHL - £35
Royal Mail - £12

Granted if you have a DHL account it might be slightly cheaper, but still not justifiable in the price difference

Also DHL IS supper fast, i've used them once, Sent a package to washington Dc for a gallery show, sent one day, arrived two days later

I keep telling my friends about this. If you're shipping anything seriously look into Parcel2Go or Parcel Monkey. I have saved a fortune.
