SPOILERS:

I don't know if there is an actual answer, but who do yall think the shadow is? I feel like it could be The Monster, someone that was always present yet hidden within Oh Dae-Su.
Or it could be the guy that kidnapped him?
Either way, it's growing on me so much. Can't wait to frame it. Hate seeing so many of these for sale.

I think it has to be Lee Woo Jin.

Me too. Lee Woo Jin, always there, always listening, hearing everything that happens. No doubt, that's my very first thought when I saw the shadow.

I agree. This is the jam. I was introduced into the greatness of Oldboy through EB, and this poster lives up to that great movie, imo.

I give huge props to Durieux for this image. Without giving away any spoilers, he goes right after the most monstrous, grotesque plot twist in the movie, perpetrated on Oh Dae-su. Yet the poster is pretty. The poster also somehow also looks bigger than 24 x 36. I'm not sure if it's the red paper it was printed on or what...

I agree on the print looking bigger, I think it's a mixture of the scale and the layout. Such a disturbing/beautiful print.

I agree with a lot of these comments. He could have taken the easy way out and made a really nice poster centered around the torture or fight scenes. However, he went straight for the sickening gut punch and managed to keep it subtle, beautiful, haunting and menacing. Outstanding work.

Piece is completely drymounted up, in the best way possible. Absolutely love it.

An incredible piece laced with a ton of subtle imagery from the film. One of Durieux's best.

Just got this and have to say it looks amazing in person - definitely a print that a small jpg will never do it justice. People might question the scene choice or composition, but technically this is up there with Durieux's best.
