Here's my contribution. I just recently got these back from the framer.
Schoolhouse Rock cels
Verb: That's What's Happening
Original and production used.
Most of my life I have wanted some original production cels from a cartoon I was familiar.
I couldn't be prouder of this. It's going to look great in my 1970s theater lobby.
Anyone collect animation cels?

Yes, well, I figured start there, but didn't know if anyone had the inside scoop.jeffreyjonesbsme wrote:Ebay...where else? LOLfarley7 wrote:Where do you even start to look for these? I'd love some Batman cels for the kid's room.
I'd love to see your cels, especially the Ghibli and Akira stuff!Tetsuojin wrote:Funny question, because long before I started collecting Mondo prints, I've been collecting predominantly Anime cels, starting in 1988. I have a few Original Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli production cels from Nausicaa, Laputa, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso and Totoro, many which I bought long ago at ridiculous prices, long before anime was known and distributed in the states. I also have a few nice Akira cels, most purchased from Carl Macek/Streamline Pictures, the first distributor of Akira in the US. Most of my collection is from what anime fans call "old school anime", from the golden period of anime (1980s-1990s). Been an animation and anime fan most of my life, but not crazy about today's anime.
here is a couple of the cels I own and one drawing
Simpsons production cel
1951 Porky Pig "The Prize Pest" cel and background, missing the title cel:(

It's a production cel(actually three cels) used in the making of 1996 halloween episode. def one of a kind, there might be similar cel set ups though.Amisch wrote:That simpsons is fantastic! Is that a one of a kind or limited number?
