Love the mushroom mustache composition! Not crazy about the figures. I like the kung-fu postures; but not crazy about the marker lines, colors, and black line work in the figures.opalis121 wrote:Just finished this new piece...it's my first triptych!:

Thankfully, the marker lines don't show up in the figures in person (that would drive me nuts!)...that came out when I scanned the pieces in and I can't seem to make my scanner not pick up the color funny like that. Usually the color picks up much more flat like this (older piece):timothyripley wrote:Love the mushroom mustache composition! Not crazy about the figures. But thank you, I do appreciate the feedback--it's always welcome!

A Klopek from The 'Burbs. The end scene in the ambulance. Colored pencil. I love doing movie stuff like this.

That's not amateurish, it's a nice piece. And seeing your talent, you definitely should not let 5 years go by, get on the drawing and have at it. You've got a gift, never let it go, work at it!blingaling wrote:I haven't really drawn a thing for the last 5 years or so. I started collecting video game memorabilia last year, which led to video game art, which led to poster art, which led me here. Pretty amateurish compared to the greats that inspire me, but here's something I just completed.

Well thanks mrpapa, I appreciate the kind words. I have little time to draw these days, but I've been keeping at it, just for my own amusement.
I just finished this crab.
Maybe needs some color...
